About this event
Welcome to The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media – 2012. Once again, in New York City on May 10th & 11th, we inaugurate this year’s DAM conferences. The reach of our digital asset management community continues to expand - your growth as professionals and soon-to-be-professionals in DAM is our continuing goal.
In New York City we’ll facilitate a lively exchange among conference participants. We’ll have panel sessions, breakout groups, enhanced networking environments, round table workshops, case study reviews and, of course, formal talks. There will be multiple opportunities to take away lessons learned and knowledge of best practices. Whatever your area or level of expertise you will have the opportunity to meet new peers - a key objective in all our planning. The conference starts with a welcoming reception the night before the formal program begins, and, as always, we’ll host the very best in specialized intensive tutorials – all led by renowned experts.
From the ‘User’s Perspective’ we’ll look at what are the DAM fundamentals in 2012. Brand and content strategies continue to mature and we’ll be hearing about innovative practices in both. As an important part of these proceedings we’ll examine the impact of new distribution devices - with presentations on continuing innovations in DAM as a consequence of using tablet-based workflows. The intersection of DAM with other key business areas such as social media, loyalty programs and rights management will be the subject of case studies and panels, always with a practical focus directed towards putting DAM to work successfully.
As many of you are experiencing DAM is going global. We’ll have a session that concentrates on the multiple challenges of evolving DAM from its departmental origins to an enterprise application. The presentations will address issues of governance, reporting, measuring, staffing and, of course, the technology needed to making DAM work on the bigger scale.
These are just a few highlights of what awaits you in New York – we welcome your ideas, your participation, and look forward to seeing you.
