Welcome to The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media 2013. We launch our 2013 conference series in New York City on May 2nd & 3rd with an innovative program built from the ground up by, for and about the DAM community.
Current and emerging trends in DAM combined with our community's insights, expressed in breakout sessions and ongoing dialog, create a wide ranging program in New York City and underpin the agenda for the coming year.

We welcome an ever-growing number of professionals to our New York gathering as well as many soon-to-be professionals now joining the community. Assisting your growth, in numbers and expertise, is our goal.
As always our focus is DAM from the user's perspective. We're hosting the first ever professionally formatted DAM Exchange a lively, new platform for short presentations designed to disseminate knowledge quickly to our conference participants.
We'll have panel sessions, breakout groups, enhanced networking environments, spotlight intensives, round table workshops, case study reviews and, of course, formal talks. There will be multiple opportunities to take away lessons learned and knowledge of best practice. Whatever your area or level of expertise you will have the opportunity to meet new peers - a key objective in all our planning.
The conference starts with a welcoming reception the night before the formal program begins, and, again, we'll host the very best in specialized intensive tutorials which are all led by renowned experts.
Our asset management systems are more richly populated than ever before with images, video, marketing collateral and metadata. The demands that DAM systems must satisfy are growing dynamically, testing DAM system capabilities to the limit. You'll learn how your peers are confronting this common issue as well as the latest developments from the vendor and professional services communities.
In addition to everyday DAM operations we'll be discussing new forms of content and asset distribution, the ever widening impact of the corporate studio movement, new issues in governance, and DAM system stewardship for long term success. This year we are also devoting a session to key uses of the DAM Maturity Model which is now being used worldwide.
Together, we are the DAM industry professionals. Never have we been better positioned to see the success and importance of our work and never have we had the opportunity to contribute more. We face future challenges with confidence. Be part of this important conversation. In New York, in May, we welcome your presence, your ideas, and your active participation.
We look forward to seeing you.
