Position: Vice President of Media Technology

Steve is Vice President of Media Technology at Fox Networks and has over 25 years in the Media & Entertainment industry. He is currently tasked with developing a long-term strategic vision for the content and data pipeline across media networks and distribution channels at Fox. He serves as technical lead and key contributor to all things metadata and has helped spearhead a number of MAM systems during his 10 years at Fox. He has also been responsible for leading the Software Development team for both on-air software applications as well as digital workflow systems at Fox Networks. This includes media production and distribution systems for Fox Sports, FBC, FX as well as National Geographic Networks. He and his team developed and launched a number of initiatives that helped propel the Fox into the digital age - including the Fox VOD distribution system, Media Transport Central as well and the Fox DataHive, which stores and distributes real-time metadata for a sports scores and statistics.

Prior to Fox, Steve worked at the Walt Disney Company in Imagineering R&D where he helped pioneer a number of strategic projects at the Corporate level and across all media business units. These Digital Asset Management and File Based Workflows initiatives became the foundation for a number of corporate wide digital initiatives such as the Media Monorail, Jellyroll and the Intellectual Property Rights Management systems. He also worked closely with a number of the media divisions including Disney Studios, ABC and ESPN on their digital initiatives. In his early career, Steve spent a number of years working for one of the early media asset management vendors as well as in the aerospace industry developing mission critical applications.
