Company: Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

Position: Director, Digital and Library Collections

Lee Boulie received her MLIS in 2007, and in her ninth year serving as a degreed professional librarian focusing primarily on collection care, digitization and digital information access software systems, equipment and hardware infrastructure, she has been working in various capacities of information services for over 15 years. Having previously worked in public, academic, and special libraries, as well as other museum spaces and a legal firm, she brings a multi-faceted approach to digital preservation and access. She has served as project director on ten successful grant-funded projects, and was responsible for the digitization initiative implementation at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. She has overseen the creation of seven analog-to-digital workstations (3 moving images, 1 audio, 2 photos, 1 print), the implementation of server, switches and NAS storage infrastructure, the installation and implementation of CMHFM’s first digital asset management system, and the digitization of over 22,000 rare and fragile items with searchable metadata. She supervises a seven-member staff, and provides the vision and management for the long-term care and preservation of CMHFM’s collection though digitization, organization, and environmental care. Her goal is to create a carefully considered foundation to best position future-proofing and long term care and maintenance of the collection for access today and for future generations.
