The One Who Plays All Your Favourite Songs on TV – The Role of the Music Content Manager at Zoom TV

22 February, 11:15 AM

With over a decade of experience in managing music content across radio and television platforms, and creating, sharing and working with all stakeholders, Yagnesh Chunawala, Music Content Manager at Zoom TV will share what it’s like to receive, store, manage, update and retrieve music data at India’s biggest broadcasting and distribution network.

Metadata is key to Yagnesh’s work and streamlining workflows is a big priority but there are limitations to what media management software can achieve. Yagnesh will highlight more about:

  • The origins of the CMS, music scheduling software and library database management at the organisation
  • The journey from receiving the video files from the music labels to the on-air viewer experience
  • Role of mood-mapping, audience understanding and demographics
  • Where is the media management software now and what’s next for digitisation
  • How other teams rely on the data and achieve an error-free workflow
  • Challenges in a music manager's day-to-day operations

What others say

It is refreshing to see that the issues Digital Asset Managers face around the world are indeed universal. Events such as these provide an avenue for DAM professionals to discuss challenges and share solutions. By remaining platform agnostic in these sessions, Henry Stewart provides a place for safe and honest discussions.

HS DAM events are definitely a great learning opportunity about DAMs and other related subjects. Each lecture focuses on different topics and ways of integrating DAMs to different fields. Looking forward to other events such as these.

The DAM Asia-Pacific conference by HS Events exceeded my expectations. The presenters were very generous and informative and the space was welcoming and inclusive for all levels of DAMS practitioner. Thank you again.
