As we look to optimize our Design teams, we look to software as an essential asset in our toolbox. But how do you know when you need software and what’s the best way to implement it? In this talk, we will explore the key indicators that signal the need for software and provide practical advice on how to successfully implement it for your Design team.
- Conduct discovery: Use quantitative and qualitative research to define the key indicators that signal the need for software
- Define requirements: Based on your research, draft requirements and check what software contracts and “reviews” exist in your organization that you could leverage
- Evaluate software options: Explore the software that will address your needs and use techniques to evaluate which one is the best fit, short and long term
- Prepare for implementation: Plan for implementation, including a project plan, finalizing requirements, conducting a pilot, organizing a project team, and defining success criteria
- Implement the software: Work cross-functionally to deliver the software, develop training, testing, reporting, rollout, and a plan for change management
- Measure success: Explain how to track and report results while continuously optimizing the software implementation
