Andrew leads the Creative Technology function at Merlin Magic Makers, the in-house creative agency at Merlin Entertainments. Working across the entire portfolio of Resort Theme Parks, Legoland Parks and storied Gateway Attractions such as Madame Tussauds, Dungeons and Sea Life Centers, the MMM team conceive, design and deliver first class visitor attractions globally.
A self-taught developer from the original dotcom boom, Andrew cut his teeth in Flash and interface development in the late 1990s before forming BSkyB's first Creative Technology team in 2008. He went on to take Technical Director positions at Grand Union, Wolff Olins and Poke, building experiential activations, innovation strategies and digital products. He's helped put a 5G powered hologram on the BAFTA red carpet, worked out how to land a plane over a home broadband connection, delivered the first live coded stream to Piccadilly Lights and helped Apple Retail, Riot Games and Axa see the future.
When not helping to build the next generation of visitor attractions at Merlin, he lives in Suffolk with his partner, cats and an epic collection of difficult electronica.
