Matías Piña Aguilera

Creative Technologist

Code and Theory / Faculty @ Parsons, The New School

Matías Piña is a creative technologist, data scientist and developer, interested in exploring how technology and code can be used as a creative medium. Originally from Chile, he moved to New York to pursue an MFA in Design and Technology, after spending some time developing machine learning systems for education. Now, his focus lies in finding new, interesting ways of using AI to enhance human creativity. Outside of work, he's also an artist, creating interactive installations and playful web experiences.

Matías is also a part-time faculty at Parsons School of Design, where he teaches web development and creative coding.
