Design Operations London 2026

Johnny is an art school dropout turned self-taught engineer and program manager with a career defined by continuous curiosity. Originally from the north of Denmark, he has spent years navigating the global digital agency landscape, taking on permanent and freelance roles for clients worldwide. His journey has taken him from Stockholm to San Francisco, and finally to London, where he currently lives with his wife and two cats.

Johnny’s official transition into Design Operations began in 2021 when he established the discipline at Skyscanner. For the past four years, he has been a driving force for the Design Org growth at the global fintech company Wise (formerly TransferWise). There, he has built and led multiple operational disciplines, focusing on maturing and scaling cross-functional operational excellence. Today, he remains dedicated to driving impact within the evolving landscape of Design & Research operations.
