As Head of Knowledge Management, Heather leads the team responsible for the Museum’s Library and Archives, and Digital Asset Management and Digitization projects – including collections photography and rights management processes for the Museum. Heather is deeply involved in leadership of the Museum’s cross-cutting Knowledge Management Initiative and Community of Practice which seeks to document and describe objects and collections and make accessible the stories of art and community that the Museum has stewarded over its 130-year history.

Heather holds a MLIS and MA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, along with certificates in Museum Studies and Archives. She is the Special Libraries Representative for WiLS (formally Wisconsin Library Services) and past Chair of the Board. Heather has been with the Milwaukee Art Museum since 2004 and previously oversaw the Museum’s Research Center as the Librarian/Archivist.
