Hailey has over eight years of experience in collections digitization, data standardization, and digital asset management. With a career built upon cross-departmental collaboration, she plays an active role in the creation of institutional digitization protocols and workflows, data sharing policies, data use reporting, data distribution, and digital preservation.
Hailey holds a B.S. in Anthropology with a concentration in Archaeology from Kent State University, along with a certification in Media Law. She spends much of her time working within the institution’s various collections and collaborating with their collection managers on the digitization, data standards, and publication of CMNH’s five million specimens. She founded the institution’s 3D specimen scanning and 3D printing initiatives, which provide remote research opportunities and engaging new educational experiences for all.
