Laurisa Sastoque (she/her) is a Digital Preservation Training Officer in the Digital Humanities Team, working on the Digital Preservation Southampton enterprise unit that seeks to provide digital preservation training and guidance to partners across the cultural heritage sector.

Laurisa is also currently a PhD student in Latin American Studies at the University of Cambridge where she studies Colombian migration history from a spatial humanities perspective. Laurisa holds an MPhil in Digital Humanities from the University of Cambridge and a BA in History and Creative Writing from Northwestern University. She is originally from Bogota, Colombia. In her spare time, Laurisa enjoys travelling, hanging out at coffee shops, and fantasizing about the dog she will (one day) adopt.
