Liam started on a path into DAM after many years of Studio Artwork and Management for an independent tour operator. Realising there must be a better way to organise and distribute the Marketing assets created, he became the evangelist for DAM until he was given the responsibility of evaluating vendors and subsequently sourcing and implementing a solution. With a little insight into basic PIM, Liam was eventually able to deliver an extensible foundation.
In May 2021, Liam joined Tempur Sealy International, who had a DAM in place but with no real structure or suitable implementation. Liam’s initial task was to overhaul the system in time for the largest new product launch ever. Phase 1 was completed towards the end of 2021, and he is now working on leveraging the structural groundwork put in place to drive efficiency for various user and business challenges.
Since joining, Liam has had one eye on PIM, which represents his next huge project. He’s hoping to be able to centralise DAM and PIM in one solution, but may need to integrate a PIM with the existing DAM. Exciting and potentially revolutionary times ahead.
