DAM Capability Model (DCM)
This workshop is designed to first deepen and then enable you to sustain your mastery of all that DAM has to offer. It is a practical session built around the internationally recognised DAM Capability Model – supporting the ongoing renewal of DAM and its benefits for all DAM users. From the most recent to the most experienced and everyone in-between.
Led by David Lipsey, the workshop will provide instruction on how to create (or update) the “roadmap” of where DAM is today and help you to identify what are the most important aspects on which to work. An updated “baseline” that can be used in the coming years as you periodically revisit the DCM.
The DCM helps:
- To discover improvements in processes that can contribute to easier and more effective asset access by multiple departments.
- To provide insights into specific operations, workflow tools, metadata, rights, governance, asset lifecycle management and multiple other elements that power and are powered by your DAM.
- Departments understand their place and roles in DAM workflows and how to contribute to and be responsible for ‘The overall shape of DAM’.
By attending this workshop, you’ll gain a sense of community and emerge with a comprehensive understanding of a helpful, proven approach to the creation and use of a DAM roadmap.
