At Save the Children we made it a priority to improve search in our DAM.
The project started in 2021. It has become an integral part of our DAM programme.
We had a problem:
- Users couldn’t find the assets they needed.
- Users didn't understand how metadata could help them.
- Users didn’t trust the system’s search results.
Our investigation:
- In the time since the system’s inception our controlled vocabulary had never been reviewed.
- Assets stored on our DAM and our user base were growing exponentially.
We decided:
- We must improve search to improve overall user experience and engagement with DAM.
