Valerie S. Komor is the founding director of the Associated Press Corporate Archives. She joined The AP in 2003 after serving as Head of Prints, Photographs and Architectural Collections at the New-York Historical Society. She has also held archival positions at Oberlin College, the Rockefeller Archive Center, and the Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Art. She received her B.A. in English and Classics from the University of California, Davis, an M.A. in Medieval Studies from Yale University, and an M.L.I.S. from the University of Texas at Austin. During 1987-88, she had a Fulbright grant in Naples, Italy.
