Iris is an Account Manager at the image department of the Rijksmuseum. She first started working at the image department in 1998 when most of the photography done at the Rijksmuseum was still analogue. Over the years the department has developed from analogue to fully digital. The image department is now responsible for the systematic digitization of the Rijksmuseum collection (consisting of approximately one million objects) and the accessibility of these images in and outside of the museum. Iris is the image departments ‘super user’ of the DAM system and is currently working closely together with the IT department to choose and implement a new DAM.
