Norman Mähler is the Head of Digital Department at The Humboldt Forum Foundation. He is a computer scientist, product owner, consultant, and software developer. His work with cultural institutions, Digital Asset Management and Museum Management Software started two and a half years ago when he took on his role at the Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss (SHF).
Norman has almost 14 years of experience in different IT areas: product ownership, project management, software development, user experience, consulting, strategy, digitization, support, hardware and networking. Additionally he has gained a deep knowledge of agile principles and solution orientation. He started his career as a freelance web developer and worked on different b2b projects parallel to his job at a foundation of universities, where he was part of the development team of a complex software (b2b and b2c). Later he was the Chief Product Owner and Head of IT support for universities where he acquired a lot of experience with identifying user needs and the communication between software developers and users. Since joining the Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss he and his team designed and developed a complex system topography with many interfaces to meet the manifold requirements in a modern cultural institution.
