A DAM system is not one size fits all. As an organization with a 135+ year history of performing live music, the Boston Symphony Orchestra has accumulated a vast collection of audio recordings, giving it unique needs when it came to implementing its first DAMS. Both internal and external stakeholders require access to these recordings, and the system must have the capacity to support lengthy audio play, audio reformatting and light editing, as well as desktop and mobile users. Join Sarah Funke Donovan as she describes how the BSO selected a vendor, and how she worked with stakeholders and the vendor to customize their DAM to expand existing workflows in order to get the BSO’s audio assets to the users who need them.
