Kim Maxwell

Creative & Fashion Enthusiast Kim Maxwell is a published author, former fashion stylist, and a multifaceted, resourceful leader with a passion for managing projects, teams, and sample operations in both digital and traditional marketing and advertising. She currently serves as the Creative Lead for Stitch Fix, where she manages sample operations for creative production and product imaging. In this role, Kim oversees all aspects of the sample workflow, including partnerships, timelines, and milestones.

Kim’s career began after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. As a fashion stylist under her company, STYLESBYMAXX, Kim has styled for corporate brands such as Reebok, Hanes, NASCAR, Macy's, and Bon-Ton. She has collaborated with major record labels like Sony, Def Jam, and Universal Records, and worked with media and entertainment companies such as Decon | Mass Appeal. Additionally, she has styled for Project Runway star and fashion designer Mychael Knight and contributed to concert tours for celebrities like Usher and Alicia Keys, along with various other celebrities and magazine publications.

Kim has also established herself as a style expert and correspondent for various television shows, featuring on BlackEnterprise.com and several other media outlets and blogs. She is a strong supporter of education and has shared her expertise through her book, “Career Diary of a Fashion Stylist.” She instructs online fashion styling courses and workshops, which include “Business & Marketing for Fashion Stylists” and “A Career in Fashion Styling: Turning Your Dream into a Career and Brand.” Kim has also served as an Adjunct Professor, where she promotes education and lifelong learning in the fields of fashion and fashion marketing.

In her previous roles as a Photo Studio Manager and Producer for Onestop Internet and Charming Charlie, as well as Studio Merchandise Manager for Specialty Retailers Inc.(Stage), Kim managed the sample operations workflow, focusing on e-commerce and Omni Channel campaign projects. With over a decade of experience in the creative field, sample operations, and managing other creatives, she is dedicated to giving back by sharing her expertise as a published author and lecturer in both online and higher education environments at national and international levels. With Kim’s passion for sample operations, wardrobe, and style, she remains committed to achieving successful outcomes through creating outstanding visuals and content in e-commerce, fashion, marketing, and advertising.
