Mark Milstein is co-founder and Rainmaker at vAIsual.com, a technology company pioneering solutions and algorithms to generate legally clean and ethical generative AI and beyond.
Milstein is also the founder of Microstocksolutions LLC, the leading provider of content curation, metadata, editing, and asset management services for the visual media industry, the Fortune 500 and beyond.
Milstein also founded Northfoto, an editorial and stock agency that serves print and online clients in Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
Prior to Northfoto, Milstein founded Red Dot, former Soviet Europe's first web-based photo agency. Red Dot was sold in 2011 to a regional rival, and is a part of CTK, the Czech state news agency.
From 1991 through late 2000 Milstein covered more than 20 conflicts and major natural disasters as a photojournalist for Atlantic News Service. More than four years of that were spent photographically chronicling the war in the former Yugoslavia, and included working in Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia. During the second half of the decade, Milstein covered wars in Chechnya, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Cyprus, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Iraq, Kuwait, Turkey, Congo, and Kosovo.
