Danila Arminio

Taxonomist and Ontologist

zooplus SE

Danila Arminio is a Taxonomist and Ontologist at zooplus SE,with over 20 years of experience bringing order to complex digital product worlds. During her 12 years at Amazon, she helped build the Unified Taxonomy model, contributed to the launch of the Italian and Spanish Amazon shops, and supported Knowledge Graph initiatives, always with one goal: making sure products, systems, and customers were all speaking the same language. Today at zooplus, Danila focuses on product taxonomies, facet semantics, and classification models that make search, filters, automation, and AI actually work and keep working at scale. She enjoys explaining complex concepts in simple terms, uses AI as a practical productivity sidekick, and firmly believes that good taxonomy saves everyone time—including future versions of ourselves. Outside of work, she balances semantic battles with family life and continuous learning.
