Chris is a chartered quantity surveyor with 22 years of experience in the construction industry, working with contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, public bodies and employers. He has acquired considerable dispute resolution experience in all major sectors such as building (residential and commercial), healthcare, education, industrial, water, energy, rail and ports. Chris provides expert witness opinion on complex quantum issues, including valuation of proposed work, final accounts, change management, delay and disruption associated with all major forms of contract. Chris also continues to provide contract, project and commercial management support for live projects. He is the Director for our UK office in North West England, managing a team of consultants and associates.

Chris has acquired knowledge and experience across all major formats of dispute resolution, including UK Statutory Adjudication, litigation, international arbitration and mediation. Assisting in the resolution of disputes alongside large multi-disciplined litigation teams under direction from counsel, through to individual appointments requiring concise expert witness reporting and opinion. He acts as party representative in adjudication and is an advocate of mediation to resolve protracted disputes. He has the ability to present expert opinion in the most effective manner to suit the tribunal, this includes WP submissions, briefing notes, expert joint statements, expert reports, valuations and large data presentations. Chris works closely with our delay and technical experts providing integrated services and peer reviewing other experts reports. Chris serves on the CIArb North West branch committee.

Chris has extensive knowledge of the NEC and JCT forms of contract and a wide experience of most other forms such as, IChemE, ICE, PFI, FIDIC and numerous bespoke forms of contract.
