Sarah works in the valuation team at Savills, undertaking loan security, Charities Act and tax valuations and valuation work in the context of dispute resolution. Sarah's main sectors of specialism are commercial and development properties.
Sarah's experience in dispute resolution work has involved her working on numerous complex, multi-faceted and often high-profile disputes. The work has required her to participate in legal meetings, mediations and without prejudice expert meetings, prepare CPR / FPR compliant reports for the court and also give evidence to the court orally (High Court in March 2010, March 2016 and March 2023 and Nottingham County Court in October 2023). She has experience as both an expert witness and a single joint expert witness.
Recent expert valuation adviser / expert witness cases that she has worked on have involved the following types of property dispute: surveyor's negligence; solicitor's negligence; construction defects; building services defects; matrimonial proceedings; restrictive lease clauses; restrictive covenants and easements; rights of light; section 18 valuations; option price / profit share assessments; loss of opportunity; specific performance of contracts and investment misrepresentation.
Sarah was appointed best practice committee representative for Savills’ UK commercial valuation division for the period 2010-2013. This role involved issuing and monitoring valuation compliance. She currently sits on Savills' client litigation services committee as the valuation division representative.
Sarah’s work in the commercial valuation team draws from her earlier experience in the commercial investment team at Savills, where she spent nearly four years specialising in advising clients on the acquisition and disposal of retail properties.
Sarah is a member of the RICS, an RICS Registered Valuer and a Registered RICS Expert Witness.
