Sarah has extensive experience in all aspects of planning law and practice with a particular focus on London regeneration and redevelopment, compulsory purchase, high-rise development, infrastructure including energy infrastructure, road and rail, and large scale multi-use schemes.

Sarah has considerable experience of advising on complex schemes, including new London tower developments, residential and residential-led mixed-use schemes, sports stadia and training facilities, student accommodation, office, hotel, leisure, and retail schemes. She has experience of acting for both promoters of, and objectors to, compulsory purchase orders, transport and works act orders, and development consent orders, including retail-led and town centre regeneration CPOs, and has acted recently in promoting an energy DCO, objecting to an energy DCO, successfully negotiating with a promoter of a rail extension in relation to an interface with her client’s site, and is currently instructed on objecting to a highway DCO. Sarah is currently acting for claimants on a number of compensation claims relating to major road and rail schemes, and a waste water scheme, as well as having acted on developer-led regeneration CPOs.

Sarah’s work involves a large amount of strategic advice to seek to secure planning permission at a local level, as well as negotiating complex planning and highway agreements, planning appeals, compensation claims in the Upper Tribunal Lands Chamber, high court challenges and enforcement work.
