Service Charges - The Challenges for Landlords and Tenants

Philip is Chairman of the Commercial Leases Joint Working Group which produced the new Code of Practice for Commercial Leases. He concentrates on development and leasehold work for property investors, developers and lenders. He also has corporate clients who are major property occupiers. He is an acknowledged expert on landlord and tenant matters, lease renewals and rent reviews and is involved in high value leasehold enfranchisement and planning appeals. In his spare time, Philip is an author, lecturer and expert on land law. Philip is a member of the Law Society’s Land Law and Succession Committee, and the Joint Advisory Committee of HM Land Registry and the Law Society. He is a member of the editorial board of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Handbook and acts as chairman of threw Local Searches Joint Working Party of the Law Society and the Local Authorities Association.
