Dylan works at the intersection of information science, recorded sound, and technology. His career has focused on establishing enterprise taxonomy and digital asset management (DAM) programs for public media organizations. Currently, Dylan serves as product owner for the first organization-wide digital asset management (DAM) system at NYPR, the home of WNYC, WQXR, and Gothamist. He also leads a cross-organization Data Governance Council to drive the adoption, implementation, and maintenance of a newly established organization-wide taxonomy. He is enthusiastic about providing "full text" search capabilities for audio collections. He likes to draw on practices from many different disciplines, including product-thinking, business process management, and natural language processing.
