DAM and the Digital Experience

Jacob Bishop

Senior Digitisation & IP Manager

Royal Armouries Museum

Jacob is the Senior Digitisation & IP Manager at the Royal Armouries Museum managing the operational delivery of an organization-wide content pipeline which includes aspects such as implementing a new DAMs system, advising on intellectual property and copyright issues, also the day-to-day management of digital assets.

After studying a commercial photography degree, Jacob started a career in the image licensing sector working for alamy. He then applied this commercial experience within the heritage sector at the Royal Armouries Museum in an image librarian and licensing role. This role ensured assets were created and readily available to meet both the commercial and non-commercial needs of the organization. Jacob was also involved in a project to develop our own online image library.

After a couple of years away during the pandemic to gain experience in the legal industry and a more creative production management role, Jacob was delighted to return to the Royal Armouries Museum in his current position to assist teams around the organisation with their fantastic projects.
