Fabiana Barticioti, Digital Assets Manager at the LSE Library, will share insights into the importance of governance, which is not only a crucial aspect of a DAM but also a priority for the organisation. After all, it is the base upon which the digital regulatory framework is built.
Being the orchestrator of curatorial input, photographic outputs and metadata activities on all digital collections within the LSE, Fabiana questions why digital preservation for long term access is not discussed much more in the DAM Martech community, and why it isn’t on every DAM manager’s agenda.
In this session, we’ll glean practical tips on governing digital assets, not just for the here and now but for the longevity of the asset - for use and reuse, time and time again. We’ll learn best practice procedures for ensuring how such assets can be made openly available to all users, including the wider public.
