Deborah is the Director of the University of Southern California's Digital Library. Since its beginnings in the mid-1990s, the Digital Library has grown to nearly half a million digital objects comprising 1.5 million files which are publicly available online for research and teaching purposes. Deborah began her work with the Digital Library as a project manager where she led its first migration from a homegrown system to commercial software. As director, Deborah has emphasized building collections that highlight the hidden histories of Los Angeles's diverse communities collaborating with the archives and historical societies that hold these materials to showcase the rich history of Southern California.
