Mario has held the position since January 2022 and provides leadership in technical planning, implementation, management, and support of digital collections, digitization projects, and imaging. He helped set up and establish the Huntington Digital Library (HDL), which currently has a little over 218,000 digital objects.
Mario has a MLIS from San José State University (2003), a MA from George Washington University (1994) in Modern European and Diplomatic History and has worked in the archives and library field since 1995. He has been with the Huntington since 1998.
