The 3 Levers of Change: How Design Ops Professionals Operate Across the Change Continuum for Maximum Impact

Design Ops is all about change, collaboration and impact. But depending on the size of the organisation and the problems they have to solve, design operators have to move across the ‘3 levers of change continuum’.

Craig, Camilo and Laurent were all DesOps pros at Lloyds Banking Group - before DesOps was a thing. Now, they operate at different points of the continuum in their roles at Personio, Natwest and ClearScore.

In this session, they will talk about how to:

  • Use organisational design as the biggest lever of change
  • Inspire and empower others to multiply the impact of DesOps initiatives
  • Navigate the role of embedded Design Programme Managers, affecting change at the lever point nearest to the end-user

Packed with stories, frameworks and practical tips, this session will examine how design operators can change themselves to change their impact.

With Laurent Christoph, DesignOps Lead at ClearScore, Craig Perlmutter, Design and Research Ops at Personio and Camilo Torres, DesignOps Lead at Natwest

Digital-first to Hybrid: How DesignOps Orchestrates Scale while Holding Space for Change

Discover Zendesk’s shift from a digital-first to a hybrid work model and how DesignOps is pivotal in orchestrating scalability while embracing change. With a global Product Design team, Zendesk introduces Project In Real Life (IRL) and the Product Design Hub to ease the transition to hybrid work, emphasising team connection, streamlined delivery, reduced noise, and a seamless blend of digital-first practices.

This presentation showcases ongoing program implementation, providing insights into frameworks, toolkits, and resources developed for successful hybrid work settings.  Key metrics assessing participant satisfaction, engagement, and overall impact on productivity and communication will be shared.

Key Takeaways:

  • Embrace Hybrid Work Strategies: Learn how Zendesk fosters flexibility and supports teams in navigating hybrid work models, setting the stage for successful remote and in-person collaboration
  • Centralised Resources for Strategic Thinking: Understand the importance of centralizing resources, and providing easy access to up-to-date documentation and standards.  Explore the adoption of a Strategic Thinking approach to break down silos, enhance problem-solving, and drive innovation for a unified customer experience
  • Metrics for DesignOps Success: Discover the significance of setting and tracking metrics for DesignOps initiatives. Regular assessment allows organisations to make data-driven adjustments, ensuring teams are well-equipped for success in a dynamic and evolving work environment

London Creative Summit 2024: Embracing ‘The Power of Change’

Four Chairs of the Four Events Reveal Key Takeaways

Unmissable!

We bring together the chairs of the four co-located events: Creative Operations, DesignOps, Photo Studio Operations, and Creative Production to delve into the profound impacts of change on the creative landscape.

This end-of-day gathering transcends the ordinary. The chairs share insights, strategies and take-home messages that have impressed them most (and they are not easily impressed).

  • Discover the trends reshaping the creative landscape
  • Hear about the breakthrough technologies that are propelling innovation
  • Learn what are the new and emerging challenges that confront modern creative output and how they can be overcome

This panel goes beyond assertion. It analyses, it evaluates, and it interacts with you (the most important participants in the session).

The panel covers all four events.  Bring your burning questions, your opinions, and your expertise.

Panel members will answer all questions and respond to all opinions. A dynamic exchange is planned – fast-moving, rapid-fire ‘popcorn’ style - but always rooted in ‘knowledge in practice’ and ‘on-the-job’ experience

A great opportunity to engage with some of the leading practitioners in the industry and be part of the conversation that defines ‘The Power of Change’ in the world of creativity.

With Patrick Burgoyne, Co-Founder of IHALC, Nicky Russell, Managing Partner at WDC, Patrizia Bertini, Design Operations Strategy at 8x8, Mark Stocker, Senior Creative Manager at The Very Group and Mali Okoi-Obuli, Founder of OURHouse.
