Design Operations London 2024

Morning Briefing - DesignOps as a Participatory Change Management Discipline

1 March, 9:15 AM GMT

DesignOps leads designers to seek changes in how their organisation works. It then leads the change. However, no change in an organisation is ever successful without the active participation of the people doing the work.

Davide Macchi has been undertaking research on the connection between DesignOps and change management. Experimenting and designing frameworks to facilitate the adoption of new ways of working and collaborating between units. He will lead an interactive Morning Briefing on the challenges and best practices involved in ‘DesignOps-Led Management of Change’.

During this highly interactive session, he will orchestrate discussion on:

  • DesignOps as a transformative discipline
  • Organisations as evolving complex systems
  • The importance of first-hand involvement of employees while applying DesignOps.
  • Sharing ownership and designing with adoption in mind

The intention is to encourage reflections on applying participatory practices in DesignOps by considering the experiences and insights of a wide range of participants. Bring and share what you have done, observed and experienced.

Or alternatively, join the keynote session presented by Mat O’Brien from Three and Aidan McClure from Wonderhood Studios
