With film production in Hollywood still finding its way back towards a new normal, the ability for content producers to find and repurpose previously filmed material has become ever more important. At Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), the Content Licensing team manages a deep library of footage originally filmed for SPE feature films and television productions. Finding the perfect clip from their archive for a project requires rich, taxonomy-driven metadata reflecting the key descriptive attributes of each clip in their collection. To that end, SPE recently completed a taxonomy and metadata enrichment initiative, scaling the project with AI.
