Dr Lynn Fulford is the Associate Dean in the Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences at Birmingham City University. Dr Fulford’s portfolio as Associate Dean covers the student experience, including student satisfaction, the access and participation plan and learning and teaching. Her research interests lie in the experiences of local stay at home students who form the majority of the University’s students but see themselves as somehow ‘different’ and ‘separate’ from their peers who have moved away from home to study. Prior to joining the School of Education at BCU, Lynn worked as a teacher in sixth form and further education colleges in economically deprived areas of Birmingham and Sandwell.
