John Vivolo

Director of Online and Campus Learning Strategies

Katz School of Science and Health, Yeshiva University

John is the Director of Online and Campus Learning Strategies at the Katz School of Science and Health at Yeshiva University. John oversees the school's online education efforts, from day-to-day operations to strategic planning for future programming. Most recently, he helped lead the rapid response team for Yeshiva University’s response to the COVID-19 epidemic. For nearly 20 years, John has dedicated his career to the growth and improvement of online learning. Prior to joining Yeshiva University, he was the director of an award-winning and top-ranked online learning unit at New York University. He also served as director of online learning at the American Montessori Society. John is an Online Learning Consortium trained instructor and completed the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (IELOL) Certificate at Pennsylvania State University. He holds an M.A. in English from the City University of New York and is pursuing his doctorate in Education Leadership at Northeastern University. In December, 2019, John published, as writer and editor, his book entitled: Managing Online Learning: The Life-Cycle of Successful Programs. John has played bass guitar since he was 13 and is a dedicated New York Mets fan.
