Contemplative practices are visual, kinaesthetic, auditory, cognitive, affective and physical. They make space for observing (outward) and introspective (inward) attentiveness. This practical session will explore:
- what are contemplative and inclusive pedagogic practices
- why they are important
- how they have been practiced within blended, work-based executive education programmes
- their value in executive education development
Given the embodied and emotional nature of transformative learning, contemplative pedagogic practices hold potential for engaging online learners fully in their own learning process through meditative, creative, and reflective practices whilst also ensuring their uniqueness is valued as contributing to the richness of the learning experience for them and others.
