Simon Wainwright 

Simon Wainwright FRICS was Chairman of the RICS Commercial Markets Board 2012 – 2019 and is a leading contributor to RICS Professional Standards. He was one of the technical authors and working group member who prepared:

• RICS Commercial Agency Standards 2016
• RICS Global Conflicts of Interest Standard 2017
• RICS Valuation of Development Property Guidance Note 2019

Simon founded his own practice JPW Real Estate in 1993 and has worked on many major development projects for clients including Canary Wharf Group, Land Securities, Almacantar, St George and Brockton Capital. He advises on acquisition strategy, possession strategy, compulsory purchase, rights of light, valuation and development appraisal. He is an expert witness and a RICS Registered Valuer. He has many years’ experience in property development and has plenty of stories and anecdotes upon which to illustrate many of the points which he makes during this online series.
