Yaso is currently the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer for the National Archives of Australia. She is responsible for the delivery of secure information and technology solutions for the National Archives of Australia including the governance of information. She is currently leading the transformation program of work to implement a contemporary digital preservation platform for the National Archives.
Prior to joining the National Archives, Yaso was a Senior Executive Service (SES) leader at the Department of Defence and led a number of branches in the Chief Information Officer Group at Defence. Her roles included leading the delivery of ICT capability across a number of domains including the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Geospatial and Mobility and Digitisation Domains. She has also worked as a senior network security engineer for industry in the US and worked in Washington DC as an Australian Department of Defence officer in 2002.
She holds a BSc in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and is a member of the Oxford University SAID Business School Alumni. She is married with two children.
